Stories are the glue that bind our connections to others, and this earth. Everyone has a story that is truly meaningful. How can I help highlight, the main character, of yours?

Meet the Photographer

William Austin Bruce

Photography, along with fatherhood, has taught me to slow down, observe, and appreciate the stories unfolding all around us. Whether I'm exploring a small town in Georgia, documenting the landscapes of Montana, walking city streets, serving on a mission trip overseas, photographing the energy of a music festival, or working behind the scenes to capture moments others may never see, I'm drawn to the authentic and often overlooked. My approach to photography is rooted in documentary storytelling—preserving real moments, genuine emotions, and the details that give each place and person a unique story. Through every image, I strive to create an honest record of what was experienced, not just what was seen.

"Not only am I a fan of Austin's work I'm in some of his work! My daughter and I had the pleasure of working with Austin on a Father's Day promo! The pics he took totally captured the moment! So impressive how he captures the moments! He gives a story in every pic he takes. I haven't even mentioned his signature black and white pics that outstandingly rich and deep. He is an ace of the art!!"

What I do

Black and white behind-the-scenes film shoot with cameraman filming actor in cowboy hat and duster coat outdoors.

My work blends street photography, landscapes, black-and-white portraiture, and everyday life, but the common thread is simple.

Find the meaning in ordinary moments.

I enjoy creating both candid and intentionally crafted portraits, in black and white, where expression, character, light, and emotion take center stage. Whether spontaneous or planned, I believe a strong portrait reveals something genuine about the person in front of the camera.

I believe some of the best photographs aren't planned—they're discovered. A certain expression, a beam of light, an empty street, or a fleeting interaction, the expression that is caught during a quite time of reflection, can reveal something worth remembering.

Through W.A.B. Photography, I strive to create images that are authentic, thoughtful, and timeless—photographs that encourage people to slow down, look closer, and appreciate the beauty that already exists around us and aiding in the realization of the beauty you add to the world.
